Suzanne Fourré-Dubois was born and lived in Hong Kong until she left to study in Britain. She worked in art education in Britain and later in the textile industry in Italy. Resident in Switzerland for the last 30 years, she has shared her talents with her students, both adults and children and with the larger public, through her exhibitions. Suzanne uses various techniques, including silk painting, watercolor, gouache, oil and lino prints. She draws her inspiration from her childhood in China, of fabulous textiles, tropical plants and intricate ceramics, producing intensely colourful and vivid paintings. Her creations throw us into an exotic world which transmits her enthusiasm and vision for perhaps the simplest of objects, showing the dedication and the skill of this artist, passionate about the colors which surround her.
